Terms
Please note, if you hire anything from us, we presume that you have read and accepted
the following terms as
they are,
not just the bits that suit you! If you can't, or won't accept them,
please go somewhere else for your Fancy Dress. |

How much to hire your costumes?
Hire charges range from £15.00 to as much as £60.00 per day, depending on the costume
chosen. As a rough average, £25.00 would cover the hire of most costumes. For hygiene
reasons, we don't rent out footwear.
If you do wish to reserve a costume, you can call in, or telephone.
Most of the time, you
will need to give us a £15.00 deposit to confirm the booking.
However in
October, (Halloween) and
December
(Xmas and New Year) you will need to leave a 100% deposit.
Your deposit won't be
refunded if you then decide to cancel.
Do I need to show you ID?
Yes! - something with your name, address
and face
on it - ideally one of the
new style drivers licences.
What about a damage deposit?
Before the costume goes out on hire, we require a cash deposit
which will be at least
equal to the cost of the
hire. This is refunded in full when the costume is returned undamaged and on time.
If the costume is returned damaged, with bits missing, or late, you will
lose your
deposit.
There may be other charges if damage is such that we need
to replace the costume or fork out for professional repairs. We also
reserve the right to charge you on a daily basis for costumes returned
after the agreed date. Car rental companies would do the same.
If you are going to be late returning a costume, please speak to us.
We are human,
and understand that life does not always go according to plan!
Cleanliness
All our costumes are washed after every hire. You can help us
greatly by returning the costume
as early as possible on the day it is due for return.
We realise that the costumes are being hired for you
to have a good time, and we
expect a reasonable amount
of soiling on the costumes.
However, if a costume is returned to us in such a condition that it
needs specialist cleaning, we will charge this cleaning at cost, and
will take the funds from the cash deposit.
Please remember, that the costumes belong to us - not you, and we expect
you to take reasonable care of them while you have them on rental.

How do I pay you?
We accept most major Credit
and Debit cards, (not Amex, they
charge us too much), and of course cash.
Sorry, but we no longer accept personal cheques as a means of payment.
Corporate clients can arrange to pay us by BACS, if this is more
convenient.
Do you sell
your costumes?
Our costumes are for hire only. Although we do have some costumes for sale, they are not
illustrated on the Website yet, so you will have to
call in and see them.
Can you send me a list
of your costumes?
No! But if you go
here , you can print
it out! Because we are constantly updating our stock, it will never be
fully up to date though.
Please note:
All references to
actors/films/television/stage productions are for suggested
guidance only.
Do you do Mail Order?
We prefer our customers to try on our costumes before hiring, so
no, we don't work via mail
order.
Can you make Bespoke Costumes?
We can make
costumes to purchase - for corporate events etc. Please telephone to discuss.
You do Balloon Decorations as
well?
Yes, but not for rental!
Please feel free to call in at the shop to
discuss any plans you may have for Balloons for your
occasion. We don't have a price list, as each person and event is
unique.
We tailor our service to the individual, and
therefore there is no way we can know, without speaking to you, exactly
what you require. Please bear in mind that we have hundreds of different
balloons available, and they are all different prices.
And you can deliver them?
For functions, we are able to deliver and set up
Balloon decorations anywhere within a reasonable distance of Larkhall,
and the cost is normally incorporated into your final quote.
